About Sketches
Hi, I’m Reginald Balanga, 21, a web/graphic designer from the Philippines- happily married and a father. Welcome to my traditional+digital sketchblog.
Drawing is my first discovered outlet for creativity. Since I was a child, crayons, pencils and watercolors are my thing. However, I didn’t pursue art as a career, though sketching and doodling on notes once in awhile kept me occupied and drawing has been my forgotten and hidden hobby. Instead of art, information technology is what I took in college but instead of leaving art completely, computers opened up a new medium in which I could express myself, which is graphic design. With graphic design, I was able to rekindle my passion towards visual arts. Vector graphics, 3d, animation, photography and photo manipulation became my new tools as well as toys. But drawing on paper still feels different than working on the screen so I tried to rediscover drawing and combine it with the digital tools I have. The result pleased me and awakened me and so I started this sketch blog.
